"Because the female nude is classically considered a pillar in refined culture, particularly when portrayed in oil paintings, producers such as Guillermo Calderón came to the conclusion that “high art” simulacrum was the ideal cliché to rely on in order to boost ticket sales without losing mainstream consumers. As seen from a western standpoint, art history dictates that a woman’s body is not to be represented as naked or active in sexual pleasure if it is to hang from respectable walls. "Debido a que el desnudo femenino se considera clásicamente un pilar en la cultura refinada, en particular cuando se representa en pinturas al óleo, productores como Guillermo Calderón llegaron a la conclusión de que el simulacro de "gran arte" era el cliché ideal en el que confiar para impulsar la venta de entradas sin perder consumidores principales. Visto desde un punto de vista occidental, la historia del arte dicta que el cuerpo de una mujer no debe representarse desnudo o activo en el placer sexual si debe colgarse de paredes respetables. La misma regla se aplicaba al cine en ese momento, lo que explica por qué una variedad de pintores masculinos ficticios y sus atractivos modelos fueron escritos con entusiasmo en guiones cursis". - Ana Cadena Payton
